All the important PlayStation news you missed in a TLDR format every Tuesday and Friday mornings at 7am EST.
Super Meat Boy Forever has been delayed until April. I first read this headline entirely too quickly and thought Super Meat Boy was delayed Forever. SMBF was initially scheduled to release in April but, “We could have sacrificed our minds, bodies, and social lives to make April 2019 but that’s stupid. Team Meat isn’t some studio owned by an Evil Asshat corporation that has say over what we do and how we do it.” The capitalization of the first letters of Evil Asshat are from the quote so draw your own conclusions.
Prince Harry (as in England) called for a ban on Fortnite. He went on to say something about social media being more addictive than drugs and alcohol.
Based on an easter egg in The Division 2, the next Assassin’s Creed entry could be Vikings. There is a Valhalla poster found on a wall but after closer inspection, the individual is holding an artifact which seems to be the Apple of Eden from Assassin’s Creed.
God of War took in 5 more awards at the BAFTA Game Awards including Best Game. Congratulations! If you have not heard of this little game from Sony Santa Monica, you may want to check it out.
Own Enter the Gungeon? You get a free update, you get a free update, everyone gets a free update! As with the first two updates, Dodge Roll Games has released the final update, A Farewell to Arms, for free and it is out now.
Fallout 76’s Patch 8 is live and some new features have made their way in the game including a camera which can be equipped like a weapon and will come with quests and challenges, The Burrows which is the first dungeon for parties, and repair kits which come in different versions that will allow for repair on the go.
There will be two types of repair kits: basic and improved. Basic will repair items to 100% and can be purchased with atoms. Improved will be rewarded for in-game tasks such as killing the Queen Scorchbeast. These will repair items to 150%. Players have already voiced concerned as the basic repair kits sound very “pay-to-win,” which Bethesda had promised would not be in Fallout 76. Are you still playing Fallout 76? Does this sound pay-to-win? Sound off in the comments.
The PlayStation VR accessory, the 3dRudder, a foot-controlled controller is set to release on June 17, 2019 for $119.
Remember when there was a chance Judgment would not be released due to the arrest of one of the game actors (Pierre Taki)? Well, Judgment is still planned to release on June 25 and Taki’s character will be replaced with an original character. According to the developer, they had to re-record all of the lines and even had to change some trophies (my guess is the description but we will find out in 2 months).
If any of these stories interest you and you want to know more, let us know via email (firstname.lastname@example.org), twitter (ng_platinum) or telephone (929-333-5762) and we will talk about it on the next show. Anything submitted before 9pm EST on Tuesday will make it on that week’s episode.
