All the important PlayStation news you missed in a TLDR format every morning at 7am EST.
(Narshe from Final Fantasy VI because this needs to be remade before anything else)
If news of the PlayStation 5 ( seriously, Sony, just revealed the name already) has you worried that your PlayStation 4 will be left for dead, fear not! At the most recent Sony Investor Relations meeting (you guys didn’t get invited either??), CEO Jim Ryan stated that the PS4 will remain relevant for at least three years (I paraphrased a little). Backwards compatibility was mentioned but for those not upgrading immediately, PS4 will be the console that can add The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, and Ghosts of Tsushima to the names in its already impressive library. For those upgrading, it seems like these games may be available either through streaming or via backwards compatibility. Backwards compatibility does make jumping to PS5 much more enticing but hopefully Sony’s “appealing” price point is appealing to us, the players, and not to the investors wallets.
